John Kehoe and his daughter Marie joined us to talk about a unique cancer awareness and fundraising campaign built around a restored 1890s-style quintuple bicycle. The bike, originally linked to John’s grandfather and his friends who cycled it around Ireland decades ago, has now been faithfully recreated using original designs and modern technology.
But this project is about far more than history. Inspired in part by Marie’s own cancer journey, the campaign aims to raise awareness and support for both the Irish Cancer Society and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Launching on May 29th, the initiative will see the unique five-person bike travel historic routes once again, combining family history, community spirit, and an important message of resilience, hope, and support for those affected by cancer.
