Former garda stations in co. wexford sell for almost 200,000 euro

Two former garda stations in County Wexford sold for almost 200,000 euro at a public auction yesterday. This was more than double the guide price for the two stations located in Ballywilliam and Kiltealy. In all eight stations; three in Kilkenny, two in Laois, one in Offaly along with the two in Wexford sold for a total of 902,000 euro. They went under the hammer at the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny and attracted huge interest. Will Lyons of auctioneers Ganley Walters, who had carrraige of the sale, says the former garda station in Ballywilliam had an Advised Minimum Value of 45,000 but sold for 110,000. While the Kiltealy station had an Advised Minimum Value of 30,000 but went on to sell for 86,000 euro.
