Bob Staples from Curracloe was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2020 and, despite a positive start to treatment, sadly passed away later that year. During his illness, Bob set out a heartfelt wish to raise funds for cancer research through his farming passion. That wish is now being honoured by his family, who are bringing his plan to life through the auction of a special heifer, Candy Floss, at Carnew Mart today,Thursday 30th April. All proceeds will go to the Irish Cancer Society, with additional fundraising on the day and through a GoFundMe campaign, continuing Bob’s legacy of generosity and hope.
