On Friday, 19th September 2025, Gardaí in the Wexford Division carried out a major Day of Action under Operation TARA, aimed at disrupting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the region.
As part of the operation: 11 searches were conducted across Wexford and New Ross Suspected controlled drugs worth over €22,000 were seized €1,000 in cash was also confiscated One individual was arrested and detained at Wexford Garda Station Among the substances recovered were suspected cocaine, cannabis herb, synthetic cannabis, cannabis oil, MDMA, cannabis-infused jellies and cannabis resin. Gardaí also recovered a stolen vehicle linked to a separate investigation.
