Gorey fianna fail councillor announces intention to run in general election

Wexford County Councillor Malcolm Byrne has announced his intention to run in the upcoming general election. The Gorey man is hoping to secure a Fianna Fail nomination to have his name on the party ticket in the Wexford constituency. Malcom Byrne topped the poll in the Gorey district in the local elections last year. In a statement this morning he said he has long had a desire to serve Wexford and his country as a national legislator.
