Enda Kenny and Joan Burton are meeting again this afternoon after this morning's final cabinet meeting. They've resumed talks on the make-up of the new Cabinet and mark out new priorities for government. The Public Expenditure Minister says his outgoing colleagues should be proud of their legacy and rescuing the country from 'absolute peril'. Brendan Howlin says giving the public a "social benefit" should be the priority - rather than portfolios. "I know that the new Tanaiste had long discussions yesterday with the Taoiseach" he said. "There's two...elements to it: one is the discussion of a new priority platform for the remaining months of this government, I think we've largely addressed a broken economy". "The next phase of it is to talks about the social side of it - I know that's a priority for the new Tanaiste" he added.
