The President of the Irish Cattle and Sheepfarmers Association Patrick Kent has resigned his position with immediate effect.
The New Ross man had accepted an invitation from Euro election candidate Mick Wallace to be one of his replacements in the event of him being elected and not able to take up his seat. Patrick Kent has been president of the farming body since 2014.
