Investigation underway after two bodies found in sligo
An investigation is underway following the deaths of two people - a 9-year-old boy and 21-year-old man - in Co Sligo. The discovery was made in an area known as Banada in Tubbercurry yesterday evening. A 9-year-old boy was found in the house with stab wounds, while a 21-year-old man dead was found in a shed outside. The young boy was removed from the scene by Air Ambulance to Sligo Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The scene has been preserved while gardai carry out a technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified. Local Councillor Jerry Lundy says the community is in shock. "I am absolutely shocked when I heard this new this morning when I got up" he said. "I'm really hocked - but everybody that I've spoken to in the community is so shocked and horrified and saddened" he added.
