A new Junior Council has been established to work with Wexford County Council.
The Junior Council is made up of students from six secondary schools around the county and they have attended their first meeting of Wexford County Council. The idea is the brainchild of Wexford Councillor Tony Dempsey and aims to foster an interest in politics and local government amongst young people. Its first elected chairperson is Karen Roche of Presentation Secondary School in Wexford.
