A Kilkenny woman is calling for urgent action after her brother, Seamus Culleton, was detained by U.S. immigration authorities for over five months.
Seamus, originally from Kilkenny and who went to secondary school in New Ross has been living in the U.S. for 20 years. He was arrested by ICE in September despite having a U.S. driving license and work permit.
Conditions in the ICE facility are described as dire with Seamus suffering health issues and inadequate sanitation.
His family is demanding action from both the Irish government and U.S. authorities urging for his immediate release.
