A disabled parking bay has been installed outside the NOVA building in Enniscorthy, allowing families to pick up adults with disabilities directly outside the entrance.
Local representative Jackser has welcomed the development, saying it will make a significant difference to the 23 adults with disabilities who use the building on Church Street.
He says he raised the issue at district meetings on three separate occasions before the barrier was put in place.
Speaking about the improvement, Jackser said families can now pull up outside the building to collect their relatives, rather than having to manage without the facility.
He described the installation as fantastic news and thanked the engineer involved in making it happen.
The new bay is intended to improve accessibility for families and people using the service, making pick-ups and drop-offs more convenient.
