Mental Health Ireland is calling on Wexford to take part in the national "Hello, How Are You?" campaign on May 15th, 2026, which aims to start meaningful conversations about mental health. Now in its fifth year, this initiative encourages people across Ireland to check in with those around them—whether it's a friend, colleague, or even a stranger—by asking the simple yet powerful question: "How are you?"
The campaign is supported by TikTok star and Ireland AM presenter Eric Roberts, who is encouraging people to take a moment to genuinely listen when someone answers. This small act of kindness can help combat loneliness, reduce stigma around mental health, and create a sense of community.
Wexford is invited to join in with a variety of events, from coffee mornings to community gatherings. Mental Health Ireland has also partnered with Hairy Baby to launch a limited-edition "Hello, How Are You?" T-shirt, with all profits supporting the campaign.
To get involved:
- Start a conversation: Reach out to someone and really listen.
- Host an event: Organize a coffee morning, walk, or team chat.
- Spread the word online: Share your support using #HelloHowAreYou.
