New initiative to bring more people to wexford over festive period
A new initiative to make Wexford town more attractive this Christmas season is being planned. The plans include an ice-rink on the quays in an effort to bring more business to the town. Plans for the enhanced Chrismas attraction are in the final stages of planning this week. They will be presented for final ratification at a meeting of Wexford Municipal District council next Monday. The plans include an ice-rink on the quay promenade, piped Christmas music along the entire length of the Main Street and a special pavillion created at Selskar Abbey to host cinema screenings and refreshments. The events will start six weeks before christmas and will be accompanied by free car parking on the six Tuesdays of this time period.
