Aidan is joining the team as South East Radio’s new Local Democracy Reporter. He’ll be looking into all the issues affecting residents in County Wexford while going in depth into the systems that help govern and run the county.
You can be sure he’ll hold our local councillors to account and asking how we can make our county the best it can be.
From the micro to the macro, his reports will highlight the issues and problems affecting you and bringing the voice of the people to those in the know.
A Coolgreany native now living in The Ballagh, Aidan has been steeped in County Wexford for his entire life. Listeners will recognise his voice from news and sports bulletins when he worked with the station from 2017-2022.
He also brought his vast sporting knowledge to the Sports Hour which he presented on Saturday and Sunday nights during a heyday for the county. His proudest moment was helping to ring in the good news of Wexford’s Leinster Hurling Final win in 2019.
He returns to us from Bauer Media where he flew the flag for the South East in both the news and sports teams for four years. His time in national radio exposed him to some of the biggest stories affecting the country and means he’s ready for anything the job can throw at him.
Aidan will also present a new sports and music show on Sundays to help our listeners keep in touch with all the action with a busy summer ahead.
So whether it’s news or sport, Aidan wants to hear from you and is looking forward to giving everyone a chance to get involved with their local radio station.
