A free family-friendly “Picnic Against Apartheid” will take place this Sunday, 19th July, at Redmond Park in Wexford, bringing people together for an afternoon of music, spoken word and community conversation.
The event, organised with the support of Amnesty International, will run from 2pm to 5:30pm and will feature performances from local musicians and spoken word artists.
Organisers are inviting families, friends and members of the wider community to come along, enjoy the afternoon and take part in the event’s message of solidarity under the hashtag #Saoirse.
A petition and letter signing station will also be available on the day, giving attendees an opportunity to add their voice and show their support.
The event is open to all and organisers are encouraging people to gather in Redmond Park, Wexford, for an afternoon of music, reflection and community engagement.
