You can now have your say on the future of Hook Lighthouse.
Wexford County Council is hosting a public consultation session next week to discuss a new Masterplan for the popular attraction.
The plan aims to enhance the visitor experience, improve traffic management and protect its unique coastal environment.
Attendees can meet with representatives from the project team, including the architects Hall McKnight from 3.30pm to 7.30pm at the Café in Hook Lighthouse next Thursday evening.
A proposed copy of the Masterplan will also be available to view on the day with visitor input welcome.
The lighthouse is the oldest intact operational lighthouse in the world having been constructed over 800 years ago.
Earlier this year it was announced that plans to expand the popular tourism experience hit a setback after a rare plant was discovered on nearby clifftops.
However, at the September meeting of the New Ross Municipal District, it was revealed that “nothing of concern” had been located during the subsequent survey of the site.
The project is now expected to go ahead as planned and is due to submitted to An Coimisúin Pleanála for review by the end of the year.
That report was funded by the Local Democracy Reporting Scheme.
