Roscommon man not guilty of murdering his mother by reason of insanity
A 29-year-old Roscommon man has been found not guilty of murdering his mother by reason of insanity. Paul Henry of Ardsallagh, Athlone Road repeatedly stabbed Ann outsider her home at Abbeytown in Roscommon town in September 2011. The court heard he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and was convinced his mother wanted to have him killed. The jury returned with the special verdict after deliberating for just over an hour and a half.
