Searches underway in dublin in connection with gangland killings
A number of properties in Dublin are being searched by Gardaí this morning as part of investigations into organised crime. The raids are targetting a criminal gang with links to David Byrne, who was shot dead at the Regency Hotel last month. Around 60 gardaí began searches this morning in the Crumlin area. The Criminal Assets Bureau is leading the search along with gardaí from the Emergency Response Unit, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Detective Unit. Revenue Customs officers are also involved. Eleven private residences and one commercial premises, linked to organised crime gangs, are being targetted.
