Senator norris lends support in efforts to decriminalise prostitution
Senator David Norris says he fully supports Amnesty in their efforts to decriminalise prostitution. At an International meeting in Dublin yesterday the charity agreed to create a plan to protect sex workers, rather than punish them. Senator Norris claims people have been making themselves available for sexual gratification in return for money since time began. And whatever the moral issues, the most important human factor is the welfare of those involved. Amnesty International say they recognise prostitution is a complex issue, but it's also a critical human rights issue internationally.
