South East Technological University (SETU) has launched a new Bachelor of Business in Hospitality and Tourism Management, giving students the opportunity to earn a salary while studying for a degree.
The part-time programme, which begins in September 2026, allows students to remain in employment while attending classes one day a week and applying their learning directly in the workplace.
Developed in partnership with industry, the course aims to address skills shortages in Ireland's hospitality and tourism sector and aligns with the Government's national tourism strategy.
SETU says graduates will gain expertise in areas including hospitality management, leadership, customer experience, sustainability, digital marketing and entrepreneurship, preparing them for management roles across hotels, restaurants, visitor attractions and the wider tourism industry.
The programme has the backing of organisations including Fáilte Ireland, the Irish Hotels Federation, the Irish Hospitality Institute and County Wexford Chamber Skillnet. Eligible students may also receive up to 40% funding towards course fees through County Wexford Chamber Skillnet, while SUSI part-time funding is also available for those who qualify.
Applications are now open, with places being allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
