Seven businesses from Wexford have been recognized with Origin Green Gold Membership for 2025, highlighting the strength of the county’s food and drink sector in sustainability efforts. Origin Green Gold Membership is awarded to companies that make significant strides in areas like raw material sourcing, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and social sustainability. The Wexford winners are: Sofrimar, Killowen Farm, Regan Organic Produce, Trudies Catering Kitchen Ltd., Greenhill Fruit Farm Ltd., Slaney Farms Produce Ltd. and Irish Country Meats. This year, 136 Irish companies received Gold Membership, with Wexford's contributions making up just over 5% of the total. Bord Bia's Senior Sustainability Manager, Martin Hofler, emphasized that these companies are leading the way in making meaningful changes that ensure long-term success in an increasingly sustainable business environment.
