Some door-to-door callers using charity sponsorship cards to earn money

Members of the public across County Wexford are being warned of door-to-door callers posing as people looking for sponsorship money for a charity event. The "Walk with us" event, organised by Bart's cancer charity, has had a number of it's sponsorship cards taken by people who are calling to homes looking for money and who are not then donating it to the charity. Anyone who is unsure should ask to see the callers permit which is required to call door-to-door or phone the event co-ordinator Louise Martin on 087 925 7997.
