A new stamp has been launched to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Wexford parliamentarian John Redmond.
The one euro stamp came into general circulation yesterday on the anniversary of the the day he died in 1918. John Redmond was House of Commons MP and leader of the Irish Parliamentary Party who achieved Home Rule for Ireland in 1914. Yesterday a civic ceremony was held at his graveside in Saint Johns Cemetery on John Street in Wexford.
