A Status Yellow High Temperature warning has been issued for Wexford and several other counties as a spell of hot weather continues.
Met Éireann says maximum temperatures are expected to rise above 27°C, with overnight temperatures remaining above 15°C, leading to potentially uncomfortable conditions.
The warning comes into effect from 1pm on Friday, July 10th, and remains in place until 7am on Sunday, July 12th.
The public is being advised to take care during the warm conditions, with possible impacts including heat stress, disrupted sleep and increased water safety risks as more people are expected to visit beaches, lakes and rivers.
People are reminded to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the hottest periods of the day, and take extra care around water.
