Tanaiste denies government has decided to turn down iag offer for aer lingus
The Tánaiste has rejected speculation that the Government has decided to turn down IAG's offer for Aer Lingus. It's after Bloomberg reported that the coalition was preparing to reject the prospective bid for its 25 per cent stake in the airline. IAG chief Willie Walsh will today meet civil servants evaluating the bid - and will come before the Oireachtas Transport Committee tomorrow. Tánaiste Joan Burton says the Government is still giving the offer careful consideration.
