Up to 10 deaths from flu as child dies from h1n1/swine flu strain
There have been up to 10 deaths directly as a result of the flu virus. The HSE has also confirmed a child died from the H1N1 strain at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin this week, after being transferred from the west of the country. It comes as a number of cases of swine flu were also confirmed at Wexford General Hospital in recent weeks. At risk groups, those with underlying health conditions and pregnant women are being urged to get the flu vaccine.
