The Christmas Shoebox Appeal is urgently looking for a premises in the Enniscorthy area or elsewhere in the county to help sort pack and store gift boxes for children in need. Team Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal is an annual campaign that delivers gifts straight into the hands of children affected by poverty. Often these shoebox gifts are the only gift that a child will receive at Christmas and the joy that they bring is incredible. Since 2010, with your help, we have delivered over 2.8 million Shoebox gifts to Vulnerable Children across the world. They need a space of around 200 square metres, with electricity and a bathroom, available for 3 to 4 weeks starting Monday, November 3rd. Speaking on Morning Mix earlier the Wexford co-ordinator for Team Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal, Lorna Burt says they are looking for a premises free of charge.
