There’s been a call for urgent funding to fix storm-damaged roads in the County.
North Wexford TD Malcolm Byrne raised the dire state of roads in North Wexford and South Wicklow in the Dail calling on the Taoiseach to secure additional funding to address the damage caused by heavy rainfall and storms.
Many roads, already in poor condition, have become impassable
Deputy Byrne urged the Taoiseach to engage with the Minister for Transport for immediate action
The Taoiseach confirmed that he had already discussed the matter with Minister for Transport, and that an assessment of the damage was underway with local authorities
