Verona murphy to stand as independent in wexford

Verona Murphy has kicked off her general election campaign stating that she is "not a racist."

The former Fine Gael candidate has announced she will run as an independent in the Wexford constituency. She was de-selected by Fine Gael last year, following controversial comments about asylum seekers. Verona Murphy  says her comments were based on national security concerns
