Wexford artist Mary Wallace is set to open a new solo exhibition at The Raven’s Nest Gallery in The Makers House, Wexford, this July.
Entitled Harmony of the Spheres, the exhibition runs from July 4th to July 29th, 2026, and marks a new direction in Wallace’s work, featuring abstract, meditative pieces inspired by the Japanese concept of Sōzō, meaning creation and imagination.
The official launch takes place on Saturday, July 4th at 4pm, with guest speaker Tom Mooney opening the exhibition at 4:30pm. The exhibition will be open to the public throughout the month.
Wallace’s latest work explores spherical abstract forms, focusing on interconnectedness and individual interpretation. The artist works with pigments suspended in wax and gold leaf, blending ancient techniques with a contemporary approach.
Speaking about her practice, Wallace says her work encourages viewers to engage personally with each piece, noting that different interpretations can emerge each time a work is viewed.
The exhibition runs at The Raven’s Nest Gallery, located at The Makers House on The Boardwalk, Crescent Quay, Wexford, which hosts a year-round programme of exhibitions and is home to ten local artists and craftspeople.
Opening hours are Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm, Sundays from 11am to 4pm, and Wednesdays from July 16th from 10am to 5pm.
