Wexford-born chef and restaurateur Wade Murphy has been named Chef of the Year at the 2026 Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Awards.
Wade, who runs 1826 Adare in Co. Limerick with his wife Elaine, received the award at a ceremony in Dublin this week.
The judges highlighted Wade’s move away from formal fine dining towards a more relaxed approach, while praising the generosity and refinement of his cooking.
A proud Wexford native, Wade has worked in kitchens in Ireland and internationally, including London, Chicago and New York, before establishing 1826 Adare in 2013.
