Wexford councillor describes 'traumatic' time in cork mother and baby home

The discovery of a mass grave at the Tuam Mother and Baby Home has led to calls for other homes around Ireland to be investigated.

Politicians on all sides of the political divide have condemned the Galway find which comprises of hundreds of discarded babies' bodies. People Before Profit have also said the Bon Secours order - which ran the Tuam home - should be disbanded. PBP Councillor for Wexford Deirdre Wadding was herself sent to Bessborough mother and baby home in Cork in 1981. She describes her time as 'traumatic' and wants to make sure no one suffers like she did ever again.
