Wexford county council to pay over half a million to former members
Wexford County Council is set to pay 520,000 euro in payments to former members of the local authority. This will include former members of the disbanded Wexford Borough Council and the town councils of Enniscorthy, Gorey and New Ross. Just over half the amount 285,000 will be shared between six outgoing members of Wexford County Council. The figures do not include payments due to six former members of the county, borough and town councils whose gratuities are preserved until they reach the age 50.
