Wexford general hospital sees reduced waiting times at it's a and e
Wexford General hospital has bucked the national trend by reducing its waiting times in the A and E department. Its one of only three hospitals nationally to do so. Figures released this morning show an 8 percent increase nationally in hospital overcrowding last month, compared to July 2013. The INMO General-Secretary Liam Doran is calling on the Minister for Health to release funding as a priority to help deal with the issue. "To alleviate this over-crowding problem we need more beds, and we need more staff, and we need them now - and that requires additional funding" he said. "And in our view the Minister has got to secure that in the interests of patients and in the interests of front-line staff who look after them" he added.
