Wexford Library Service has been selected as an Island of Ireland Regional & Country Finalist for the prestigious Library of the Year Award in the British Book Awards.
This recognition highlights the success of the library's Reading Circle initiative, launched in spring 2025. The programme focuses on improving literacy and building confidence, with participants reading short stories and book extracts in supportive, non-judgemental groups.
The award nod also celebrates the library’s strong partnerships, including with Adult Literacy for Life and the Waterford Wexford Regional Adult Literacy Coalition. The library’s ongoing commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and community learning continues to make a lasting impact on local adult literacy.
