Elon Musk’s platform X has announced a major change to its AI tool, Grok, stating it will no longer generate explicit or revealing images of real people. The new restriction, affecting all users, means Grok will no longer create fake nudes or suggestive images. Gardaí and Coimisiún na Meán are actively investigating the issue. Yesterday, Detective Chief Superintendent Barry Walsh from the Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau revealed to an Oireachtas committee that authorities are currently assessing hundreds of images for potential criminal activity However, in a stunning revelation, Fine Gael TD Brian Brennan has called it "incredible" that no prosecutions have been brought against social media companies over the spread of child abuse images. Speaking at the same Oireachtas Media Committee, the Wexford Wicklow Deputy expressed shock after it was revealed that despite 25,000 referrals of suspected abuse images to Gardaí last year, no legal action has been taken against any major tech firm
