On Friday, 27 February 2026, Wexford will join the nation in celebrating National Pyjama Day, with Early Childhood Ireland announcing LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, as the official charity partner. The event promises a day of fun and fundraising, supporting LauraLynn’s essential palliative care services and Early Childhood Ireland’s Eco-Emotions project, which promotes emotional wellbeing through nature. Last year, over 1,900 children across Wexford participated, raising over €7,100 for the cause. Since 2003, National Pyjama Day has raised more than €4.5 million to support young children’s development and wellbeing nationwide. The funds raised this year will directly support LauraLynn’s Family Support Services, providing vital emotional, therapeutic and practical care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families. In addition, Early Childhood Ireland’s Eco-Emotions project will continue to help educators and families guide children in reconnecting with nature and managing their emotions.
