Wexford Women Supporting Community Project in Kenya

Two Wexford women are getting involved in a community project aimed at improving the lives of families in Bungoma, Kenya.

Photographer Paula Malone Carty will travel to Bungoma next February as part of the Bungoma Outreach Project, which is working to renovate schools, improve access to clean water and sanitation, and provide safer housing for young mothers and their children.

The project is being led by Wexford’s Rosie Keary, who is one of its founding members and is returning to Bungoma for a second year.

The team is now fundraising to support the work, with Paula and Rosie speaking about the project and how people in Wexford can get involved.
