A family-run fruit farm near Enniscorthy is set to take centre stage on RTÉ One's popular agricultural programme Ear to the Ground this Thursday, November 5th.
Greenhill Fruit Farm will feature in the programme's 34th season, showcasing its remarkable growth from selling strawberries out of the boot of a car to becoming one of Ireland's leading soft fruit producers.
Presenter Stephen Robb visited the farm to meet Managing Director Eamonn Crean and his team, exploring the growing, harvesting, packing and distribution of Irish berries.
The business, which has doubled in size over the past two years, now employs 35 full-time staff and 300 seasonal workers, supplying berries to retailers and wholesalers nationwide.
The programme will also highlight the farm's investment in innovation and sustainability, along with the challenges facing Irish fruit growers from imported produce.
Managing Director Eamonn Crean said the family was proud of how far the business had come, adding that the programme was an opportunity to showcase the hard work and expertise involved in producing Irish-grown fruit.
Greenhill Fruit Farm will feature on Ear to the Ground this Thursday, November 5th, at 8pm on RTÉ One.
