POST MORTEMS TO BE CARRIED OUT TODAY ON BODIES OF CORK BROTHERS

A priest in Charleville says the north Cork community is in shock at the deaths of three brothers there yesterday.

9-year-old twins Tom and Paddy O’Driscoll were found with stab wounds at their home in the late afternoon. Gardai are investigating whether they were the victims of a murder suicide incident.

Their 22-year-old brother Jonathan was found dead later in the evening.

Post mortems are to be carried out on the remains of all three brothers today.

Fr Tom Naughton has recalled his encounters with the twins as they prepared for their First Communion.

“The lads were two very fine boys, normal lads I suppose for that age – full of life and full of beans” he said.

“It is a shocking loss and my hear goes out to the family to see their mother there, broken hearted” he added.
