POULTRY FARMERS ADVISED TO KEEP THEIR ANIMALS INSIDE AFTER BIRDFLU OUTBREAK IN WICKLOW

Flock keepers or farmers with poultry are being asked to take extra measures to curb the spread of bird flu.

Bird owners are being asked to keep their animals in secure buildings so they can’t come into contact with wild birds or other animals and to apply bio-security measures.

It comes after the virus was identified in a small flock of turkeys near Tinahely in County Wicklow this month.
