Slight Drop In Average Rent In County Wexford

SLIGHT DROP IN AVERAGE RENT IN COUNTY WEXFORD

There’s been a slight drop in rent prices in County Wexford over the past year.

The average rent for all dwellings let in the County and registered with the Private Residential Tenancies Board in the second quarter of this year was 540 euro.

The latest figures from the PRTB’s Average Rent Dataset – which is part of a comprehensive Rent Index – has shown rents in County Wexford are down by around 6 euro when compared with the same time last year.

However on an annual basis nationally, rents are 5.2 per cent higher than in quarter 2 of 2013.

The index reflects the actual rents being paid instead of the asking or advertised rent.

The average rent of 540 euro in County Wexford compares with an average of 714 euro in the county in the second quarter of 2008.

Rents in Gorey are the highest at 556 euro, in Enniscorthy the average rent price for all dwellings is 510 while it’s 505 in New Ross.
