SPORT: MAN UTD LOSE IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE AGAIN

Manchester United have lost again – they went down 2-1 to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.

A Charlie Adam free kick, which took a huge deflection off Michael Carrick, gave Stoke the lead.

Robin van Persie equalised for United in the second half before Adam struck again to give the home side the win.

Elsewhere, Hull City and Tottenham Hotspur drew 1 all- Shane Long scored for new club Hull, with Paulinho equalising for Spurs.

Everton beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Goodison Park- Bacuna gave Villa the lead, but goals from Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas gave Everton the three points.

Cardiff City beat Norwich City 2-1 at home. Robert Snodgrass scored for Norwich, but second half goals from Craig Bellamy and Kenwyne Jones gave Cardiff the win.

And Southampton beat Fulham 3-nil at Craven Cottage, thanks to second half goals from Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez.

Earlier, Sunderland won their third Tyne-Wear derby in a row.

They took all three points in a 3-nil win over Newcastle at St James’s Park.

Fabio Borini opened the scoring with a penalty, with further goals from Adam Johnson and Jack Colback.

Elsewhere, 10-man West Ham beat Swansea 2-nil at Upton Park, through two Kevin Nolan goals.

Andy Carroll was sent off for the home side in the second half.
