Teenager Threatened With Knife In Wexford Robbery

TEENAGER THREATENED WITH KNIFE IN WEXFORD ROBBERY

A teenager has been subjected to a knife attack in an attempted robbery in North Wexford.

The incident happened in Ballygarret shortly after 3pm yesterday afternoon.

It’s understood the raiders came across the 18-year-old when he returned home during the robbery.

One of the men produced what has been described as an “8 inch blade” and threatened the youth.

They later made their escape in a green coloured Alfa Romeo car that was reportedly driven by a fourth waiting assailant.

The teen was uninjured but is said to be very shaken by the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed a car that fits the description or who may have been in the area at the time has been asked to contact Courtown Garda Station on 053 94 25102.
