Wallace To Give Damages To Wexford Youths If Case Taken Against Shatter

WALLACE TO GIVE DAMAGES TO WEXFORD YOUTHS IF CASE TAKEN AGAINST SHATTER

Mick Wallace says any damages he may decide to seek from the former Justice Minister will go to Wexford Youths football club.

It comes as Alan Shatter yesterday lost an appeal against a finding that he breached Data Protection Law when he made comments about the Wexford TD on RTE’s Prime Time last May.

The judge upheld the ruling – saying it was her view that the Data Protection Commissioner had considered the matter fully.

Deputy Wallace says he’s now waiting to see if Alan Shatter will go to the High Court before deciding on whether he’ll take a civil case against him for damages.
