COUNTY WEXFORD TO LOSE OR FACE REDUCTIONS TO BUS EIREANN SERVICE IN PLACES

Bus Eireann’s service in parts of County Wexford are to be axed or reduced at the end of next month.

The plan, which will see Clonroche and Bunclody lose their service to Dublin, is being introduced as part of the company’s cost cutting plan.

Bus Eireann’s Route 5 which services the Dublin-Waterford route and travels through counties Wicklow and Wexford is to be hit with the cost cutting plan at the end of March.

It will mean that the company’s pick up point in Clonroche and Bunclody are to cease where there are currently five stops per day.

Daily services to Dublin from New Ross and Enniscorthy are to be cut from five down to two.

Kildavin is to lose it’s pick up point as well, while services from Tullow are to be cut from five down to one.

Ferns, Camolin and Gorey are to lose one service daily down from five to four.

Glenmore in South Kilkenny will see its five times daily service cut down to just one stop per day.
