DRUG ADDICTS SHOULD RECEIVE HELP NOT COURT DATES – O’RIORDAIN

A Labour Senator says people addicted to drugs need to be given help, not sent to court.

Aodhán O Riordain – who was a former Minister of State for the National Drugs Strategy – is in favour of decriminalising all drugs for personal use.

It’s one of the suggestions in the National Drugs Strategy being brought forward by the Government.

Senator O Riordain says those addicted to drugs should not be considered criminals.
