Duncannon Beach Fails To Meet Bathing Water Standards

DUNCANNON BEACH FAILS TO MEET BATHING WATER STANDARDS

Duncannon beach is one of seven in the country which has failed to meet bathing water standards laid down by the EPA.

The new Environmetal Protection Agency report shows that 94 percent of Irish beaches meet strict new EU standards for bathing.

To relieve the situation in Duncannon for this summer a temporary waste water treatment plant is proposed.

This is being put in place by Wexford County Council in conjunction with Irish Water.
