Fatal Mountain Biking Accident in Askamore, Co. Wexford

A man in his 50s has tragically died following a mountain biking accident in Askamore, Co. Wexford, on Sunday, April 26th, 2026.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted shortly after 1pm when the cyclist was found seriously injured in a wooded area.

Despite efforts to assist the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Coroner has been informed and the deceased man has been transferred to Wexford Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Gardaí are preparing a file for the Coroner as they continue to investigate the circumstances of the tragic incident.
