The issue of a permanent cath lab for the south east was raised in the Dail yesterday.
Deputy Brendan Howlin brought up the matter with the Minister for Health stressing the urgency of the situation in the region. In reply Simon Harris said while he had set up an expert group to look at the situation in the south east it would have to be taken in context with all the regions. The Minister also claimed he would be happy to discuss the issue with South East Oireachtas members after Easter.
